glomerata Silver Service

Buddleja glomerata ‘Silver Service’ is evergreen with pretty crinkled silver leaves and yellow flowers in early summer. Although fairly hardy, it is best grown against a south facing wall in a free draining soil. Easily mistaken as an Acacia when in flower.

 History

Originating from a French garden, material of this Buddleja was passed onto Alan Lewis, propagator at Lees Nursery in Lymington, Hampshire, England. Alan felt the plant had potential and decided to name it B. ‘Silver Service’ as he felt this was a good selling name.
