Hardy Hybrids

B. LilacTurtle forms a dwarf neat mound shaped plant reaching a height of 60 to 80cm and a width of 80cm. It bears narrow lilac/purple flowers in the summer and autumn.

Over the past 20 years well over 150 new hybrids have come to the market, many raised in the USA.

More of these introductions will be planted in the collection this year. Currently this plant is available for sale in the plant centre but has not been assessed for reliability, hardness, habit and flowering.

History

This cultivar was bred by Ball Ornamentals in West Chicago, USA.
