tubiflora

Buddleja tubiflora bears clusters of flowers along the branch ends orange – yellow in colour. The green leaves are covered with woolly hairs which start out red and fade with age. Very tender the plant should be grown under glass.

For the first time in many years Longstock has stock of this plant available to buy in 2017.

 History

Described and named by George Bentham in 1846, B. tubiflora is rare in cultivation.

The species grows in Argentina through S Paraguay to the border of Southern Brazil.
